In the wake of uncertainty surrounding the fate of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s government in Rajasthan, three MLAs close to Deputy CM Sachin Pilot have broken their silence. The three legislators, namely Rohit Bohra, Chetan Dudi and Danish Abrar held a press conference at the CM’s official residence in Jaipur on Sunday.

During the interaction, MLA from Rajakhera in Dholpur claimed that he went to Delhi due to personal reasons. “If media says we went there for this reason or that, then it is not our problem. We do not want to be part of any controversy. We are the soldiers of Congress and will be with the party till our last breath,” Bohra told reporters.

“Sachin Pilot ji is president of Rajasthan Congress and I am secretary of state party unit, so my meeting with Sachin ji is a routine exercise. We – Chetan Dudi, Rohit Behra & I – have not been approached by BJP,” Congress MLA from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, Danish Abrar claimed.

MLA from Deedwana in Nagaur, Chetan Dudi told media outlets that the Congress government in Rajasthan will complete its full term and is working for the betterment of farmers and citizens.

Also present at the press conference was Rajasthan Cabinet Minister Harish Choudhary who said, “At a time when we are fighting against Covid-19, BJP is fighting for the power. The Rajasthan government will complete its full term.”

Most recent inputs suggest that Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and CM Ashok Gehlot are making attempts to sort out differences between them. These differences appeared in the public eye when the Rajasthan Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) sent notices to both Pilot and Gehlot in connection with a probe into the CM’s allegations against the BJP of trying to topple his government.

Sachin Pilot reportedly met former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi today. The Congress has sent leaders Ajay Maken, Randeep Surjewala and Avinash Pande to Jaipur to take part in a meeting called by CM Ashok Gehlot of Congress and Independent MLAs allied with his government.

As of 7.45 PM on Sunday, ministers and MLAs have started arriving at the CM’s residence for a meeting. CM Gehlot is expected to have dinner with the attendees later.
